Fortitude Re locks in $4bn Japan annuity reinsurance deal

A Japanese life insurer has turned to Fortitude Re for a $4 billion annuity reinsurance deal, hot on the heels of the Bermuda-based reinsurer closing a $3.4 billion deal with a US life insurer in February.
