Acrisure Re nabs new head of Asia from Willis Towers Watson

Acrisure Re, the reinsurance division of global insurance broker  Acrisure, has hired its new head of Asia from Willis Towers Watson.

Duncan Ainsby has joined Acrisure Re in Hong Kong as senior vice president, head of Asia.

Ainsby was most recently a strategic account director at Willis Towers Watson Australia, based in Adelaide.

Prior to joining WTW, Ainsby worked at broker Aon in Brisbane for five years. He started his career at Marsh, Brisbane.

Last month, Acrisure Re unveiled a swathe of senior promotions in North America. Recent hires include a Guy Carpenter managing director to lead its global catastrophe modelling effort supporting re/insurance renewals and new opportunities; Ed Broking and Securis ILS executives to bolstered its presence in London and Bermuda, and a string of hires from Barbican, Enstar, Arch Re and Securis at Lloyd’s to strengthen its corporate advisory and solutions division (ARCAS).
