Allianz looks to HSBC-Direct Line vets for supervisory roles

Allianz tapped an HSBC bank strategist and a CRO from Direct Line Group and HSBC for non-executive board posts as it manages a pending rotation in its supervisory body.

Teresa Robson-Capps will supervise  Allianz attempts to trace and meet customer needs as well as risk management processes and financial controls. She comes to  Allianz after five years at HSBC Bank as head of strategy & planning and body deputy head of Direct Bank First Direct.

José Vazquez will oversee  Allianz's forays into digital, risk, financial and business strategy in a post beginning on June 1. Vazquez most recently spent 10 years as chief risk officer for Direct Line Group (DLG). Previously he served as global chief risk officer for HSBC Insurance and on the Board of HSBC Insurance Holdings.

The appointments lead up to the pending departures of Rosanne Murison and Christian Dinesen, who complete terms this fall and spring 2023 respectively.

Allianz Holdings chairman Paul Evans said: “I am delighted to welcome Teresa and José to the Board of  Allianz Holdings. Both have highly impressive track records in their fields and their expertise will be invaluable. I look forward to working with them both and believe  Allianz will benefit greatly from the insights they will bring to the organisation.”
