AmTrust nabs ex-WTW for E&S specialty casualty build out

Global specialty property/casualty insurer  AmTrust Financial Services has hired a senior underwriter, who has worked with  WTW,  Descartes, Allied World and  AmWins, to continue the build out of its excess and surplus (E&S) capabilities in the market.

Most recently, Rivard served as business development manager, North America at Descartes Underwriting. He joined the firm less than a year ago in April, according to his LinkedIn page.

Rivard's previous experiences include Willis Towers Watson where he served as an associate director within its corporate risk and broking unit, Allied World as a BDM, and at AmWins Group as a senior associate broker.

Earlier this year, the insurer  formed a new E&S leadership team promoting and expanding the roles of five executives, and hiring Erich Bublitz from the Admiral Insurance Group.
