Aon appoints new global CEO of affinity business

Broker Aon has appointed Liam Caffrey to the new role of global CEO of its affinity business.

Caffrey is currently global CFO for Aon Risk Solutions (ARS) and previously served as CFO for ARS Americas. Prior to joining Aon, Caffrey worked at McKinsey & Company for 12 years as a partner within its financial services practice.

In his new role, Caffrey will continue to serve as a member of the Aon executive committee and will report to Michael O’Connor, CEO of ARS.

“Aon’s Affinity business represents the primary way in which we go to market with individual consumer and small business segments through a combination of sponsor, third party agent, and direct channels,” O’Connor said. “We believe there is even more potential to accelerate our growth in Affinity by using Data & Analytics to enhance our marketing and product innovation capabilities.”
