Aon nabs Guy Carpenter senior exec for reinsurance solutions

Re/insurance broker  Aon has hired a senior managing director of reinsurance from  Guy Carpenter to focus on the management of major clients as well as the generation of new business.

Eric Schwebach was most recently a senior vice president and member of Guy Carpenter’s North American P&C treaty broking unit. While at Guy Carpenter, he served as an account executive and senior broker for several high-profile global and nationwide insurance carriers with a focus on property lines of business.

Prior to Guy Carpenter, the 15-year industry veteran was part of Aon Benfield’s client development and production teams and based in the Chicago office. He began his reinsurance career at Benfield in 2006.

In his new role, Schwebach will report to Trevor Dorr, executive managing director of reinsurance solutions.

Dorr said: “Eric is a tremendous addition to our team in Minneapolis. We believe that his skill set will benefit our clients and we’re extremely pleased to have Eric join our growing Aon broking team.”
