Aon pushes talent up the ladder in APAC reinsurance leadership

Global broker group  Aon is pushing insiders up the ladder in its APAC reinsurance operations after having sent the to-date chief to lead Aon reinsurance in the UK.

Robert De Souza becomes Aon’s APAC president of reinsurance solutions after a tenure as chief of the unit for Australia and New Zealand. De Souza replaces Jeremy Goodman, who has taken the lead reinsurance role in the UK. DeSouza’s LinkedIn profile claims an uninterrupted career at Aon since 2000.

John Carroll will step into De Souza’s vacated role atop reinsurance solutions in Australia and New Zealand. Carroll is the insider-in-line, having most recently served as head of treaty for the two jurisdictions. Carroll came to Aon in 2011 after stints in Guy Carpenter and Swiss Re.
