APCIA welcomes US-China Trade Agreement

Dave Snyder, vice president of policy, research, and international at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), has welcomed the US-China Trade Agreement.

“APCIA applauds the US-China Phase One trade agreement and hopes it’s a major step forward in phasing out the numerous tariffs impacting consumer costs,” he said. “Additionally, APCIA is pleased the agreement addresses structural issues such as intellectual property protections, data security, and the reduction in barriers to financial services. We appreciate the work of the negotiators and encourage the parties to quickly begin the next phase to address the outstanding issues.”

The American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) is a US national trade association for home, auto, and business insurers. APCIA promotes and protects the viability of private competition for the benefit of consumers and insurers, with a legacy dating back 150 years.
