Arch lands Tysers talent for senior London market role

Arch Insurance International, part of Bermuda-based  Arch Capital Group, has invested in its London Market healthcare insurance practice by hiring a senior executive from Lloyd’s broker Tysers.

Alex Clark joins Arch as a senior underwriter for healthcare. Based in London and reporting to head of healthcare James Barrett, Clark will focus on providing underwriting solutions for large hospitals and health systems.

Arch’s London Market Healthcare Insurance team offers lead or excess layer solutions across hospital professional liability, physician professional liability, general liability and umbrella liability, among other lines. It primarily covers US national and regional health systems, stand-alone hospitals, paediatric hospitals, long-term care facilities and physician groups.

Clark was most recently an associate director in Tysers’ London healthcare team. He has also worked at Guy Carpenter, JLT Group and Benfield Group.

Barrett said: “We always aspire to provide responsive service and work closely with our brokers to deliver informed solutions. Alex’s significant broking experience and healthcare expertise will help further bolster our ability to better serve our brokers and clients, based on a thorough understanding of their needs.”
