ArgoGlobal expands Asia Pacific and Middle East A&H offering with TMK hire

Lloyd's insurer and member of Argo Group, ArgoGlobal, has hired TMK's Zachary Tan as accident and health underwriter to further expand its portfolio across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Tan has nearly 20 years of insurance experience, most recently as accident and health underwriter at Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK). He started his career at ACE and became head of A&H brokerage and underwriting in 2007. Tan has also worked with Prudential and NGA Benefits Singapore, before joining TMK in 2014.

Tan will report to Michael Scala, chief underwriting officer, Asia Pacific.

“With a strong team in place both at Lloyd’s and in Singapore, ArgoGlobal is determined to further develop a profitable and sustainable A&H portfolio across Asia Pacific and the Middle East,” said Scala. “Zachary’s proven expertise in the region’s A&H market will support Argo’s long-term, strategic interests.”
