AXA Investment Managers boosts insurance solutions team

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Chris Price as head of insurance solutions in the UK.

Price will be responsible for providing investment recommendations and developing customised solutions for UK insurance companies. He will be based in London, reporting to Mathilde Sauvé, head of institutional solutions at AXA IM.

Price previously served as director of insurance asset management and head of industry solutions in the UK at Deutsche Bank.

Prior to this, he served as financial controller at Brit Insurance for five years, two years as finance director for Markel Syndicate Management, and three years as group finance director for St Paul Syndicate.

Sauvé said: “Serving the needs of insurance clients is in our DNA and we continue to see significant demand from third party clients in this space.

“Chris has 23 years’ experience and will be a valuable addition to the team. The UK insurance market is an important, yet differentiated segment of the global insurance market so it is vital to have someone based in London dedicated to working with UK based clients.”

Price added: “Having spent the majority of my career in the UK insurance industry, I am excited to join a team that is one of the world’s most dynamic insurance market participants.

“Managing insurance assets is deep rooted at AXA IM; I look forward to leveraging this expertise and experience and to helping accelerate the current momentum in the UK market.”
