Beazley lifts ex-Aon to head of ceded reinsurance after Mills’ exit

Specialist insurer  Beazley has elevated a former  Aon casualty treaty broker to the role of group head of ceded reinsurance, replacing  a 16-year company veteran who has left the company for a top leadership role at the  Allianz Group.

Ellie Horner is the new head of ceded reinsurance at Beazley. She takes over the role from William Mills, who has joined Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) as global head of reinsurance.

Horner joined Beazley in 2020 as ceded reinsurance manager. Prior to that, she worked as a US casualty treaty broker at Aon. She previously worked at Deloitte and Wellington Underwriting.
