Big 4 reinsurers show only ‘moderate’ appetite to date in hard market

The big four European reinsurers have shown only “moderate” increases in risk appetite despite the power of the hard market, with top-line growth further subdued by the continued shift into non-proportional covers, analysts at Moody’s have said.
