CCR Re hires life and health specialist from PartnerRe

French reinsurer CCR Re, part of the state-backed reinsurer CCR, has hired a senior executive and specialist in life and health business from PartnerRe.

Bertrand Petras, who joins as vice president, has been tasked with expanding the reinsurer’s life and person offering covering the region of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Until recently, Petras was in charge of the life & health branches in this region with PartnerRe, where he held various positions between 2008 until now. He started his career with SCOR as a life underwriter prior to being named vice president for the French market, at AIG Life France, in 2004.
