CFC taps insider to drive cyber product strategy

CFC, a specialist insurance provider focused on emerging risk and cyber, has tapped a senior underwriter to help drive its cyber product strategy further.

Philippa Berry (pictured) has been promoted to the role of cyber product leader.

With over a decade of experience in the London market, much of which has been spent focused on cyber, she has built up considerable expertise and insight in this dynamic area.

Having joined CFC in 2018, Berry has been the senior underwriter on CFC’s corporate cyber portfolio for the past two years, broadly responsible for the underwriting approach and product development of its cyber solution designed to protect large global businesses.

In her new role, Berry will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of CFC’s cyber insurance product suite remain relevant and fit-for-purpose. In addition to driving the cyber product strategy, she will also contribute to CFC’s cyber underwriting strategy and lead a variety of cyber-related special projects.

James Burns, head of cyber at CFC, said: “Cyber insurance has matured well past the point of policy language. CFC’s cyber products are a constantly evolving package of cutting-edge security services, market-leading incident response and world-class coverage innovations.

“Philippa brings deep industry expertise and an impressive underwriting track record to her new role. She will be an incredible asset as we continue to evolve our cyber product strategy.”
