CTC appoints COO from Nissan

CTC Insurance Management, a Bermuda-based subsidiary of Charles Taylor, has appointed William Wood, formerly of Nissan Global Reinsurance, as its chief operating officer (COO).

Wood will oversee the delivery of management and consulting services to the company’s insurance, reinsurance, captives and segregated cell clients.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance market with his most recent role as treasurer and controller for Nissan Global Reinsurance. Previous to this, he was vice president of corporate development for XL Capital.

He also acted as vice president for Centre Solutions (Bermuda) after spending six years in captive management with major international broking groups.
