Hannover Re’s Argenta plots future growth with new appointments to board

Lloyd’s specialist insurance investment adviser  Argenta Private Capital (APCL), a subsidiary of  Argenta Holdings – a subsidiary of Hannover Re, has bolstered its board of directors to help plot the future strategy of the business.

Three new independent non-executive directors, Cordelia Bowdery (pictured left), Monica Burch (pictured centre) and Philip Glaze (pictured right), have been appointed to the board of APCL.

Bowdery is an associate investment partner at the independent discretionary investment management firm' Veritas Investment Partners. Bowdery was previously a wealth management client advisor at Rothschild for seven years and a private client stockbroker at Killik & Co.

Burch was a qualified solicitor and is the former senior partner at international law firm Addleshaw Goddard. She is currently chair of the board at the Crown Prosecution Service and a non-executive board director at law firm Shoosmiths and Ark Syndicate Management. She has also previously sat on the board at Channel 4.

Glaze was formerly chief investment officer (UK) and global CIO multimanager at HSBC for nearly 14 years. Prior to this, he was global head of research at Russell Investments. Currently, he is an independent investment committee member at Brooks MacDonald and at Barts Charity and Medical Research Foundation (UK).

Andrew Hubbard, the non-executive chairman of APCL, said: “We are delighted to welcome Cordelia, Monica and Philip to the Board of APCL. They bring a significant depth of investment and financial experience to APCL and we are looking forward to their support as we plot the future direction of the business.”
