Insurtech Previsico hires Lloyd's market executive to drive growth

UK-based flood forecasting insurtech Previsico has hired Lucy Coutts, a former Lloyd's Lab executive, to support the company's expansion in the insurance sector.

Coutts was most recently a senior programme manager at investment and innovation advisory firm L Marks. Her previous experiences include Lloyd's of London, where she was the programme manager of the Lloyd's Lab, responsible for managing scouting, onboarding and delivery of the programme for 47 InsurTechs.

In her new role as business development manager, Coutts will help Previsico grow its insurance client-base in the UK, US and beyond.

Jonathan Jackson, CEO of Previsico, said: “Lucy's proven relationship and programme management skills in the Lloyd's market, whilst at the Lloyd’s Lab, really impressed us. She's that wonderful combination of a high performer, who is tremendously personable and receives huge respect from all who work with her.”

Coutts commented: “Previsico already provides a unique offering in the flood forecasting market. However, the framework they developed at the Lloyd’s Lab takes it to the next level. I look forward to developing client relationships with insurers by identifying the value of its use with flood warnings to their business, world-wide.”
