LMG board replaces Atrium CEO with Beazley’s head of strategy

The London Market Group (LMG) has appointed  Beazley’s group head of strategy to its board of directors.

Rachel Turk (pictured) will replace Richard Harries, CEO of Atrium, representing the Lloyds’s Market Association.

Turk took on her current role at Beazley in 2021 to help on its corporate objectives and drive the business' future strategy and direction. Previously, she held the role of head of corporate development at the insurer. Turk also sits on the board of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA).

Turk joined Beazley in 2009 as a D&O underwriter in specialty lines, becoming focus group leader in 2015, and was appointed head of corporate development in 2019. Prior to that, she held equity and finance analyst roles.

Matthew Moore, chair of the London Market Group, said: “I would like to thank Richard Harries for his contribution to the London Market Group as a member of the board. As Richard steps down, it is great news that Rachel Turk has agreed to join us on the board. She brings with her all the wide experience that stems from her role designing and implementing strategy for Beazley, one of the largest insurers in the market, and I look forward to working with her over the coming months.”
