Marsh pushes 15-year vet to top rung on credit specialty ladder
Global insurance broker Marsh is pushing insiders up the ladder in its credit specialties line, including a 15-year veteran named global head of credit specialties to oversee an 850-strong team at Marsh Specialty and fill a vacancy created by a similar promotion.
Angela Duca (pictured) takes the global chair role at Marsh Specialty to succeed Nick Robson, who has been named global chairman, credit specialties.
Duca will join Marsh Specialty’s global executive committee and work with the credit specialties team across the three key areas of political risk and structured credit, trade credit, and surety. Duca joined Marsh in 2008, rising through senior roles in political risk and structured credit to most recently become chief administrative officer in credit specialties.
The president of Marsh Specialty and Global Placement Pat Donnelly commented: “Angela is an outstanding talent; under her leadership Credit Specialties will be well-positioned to support our clients in the management of their risks in ways that enhance their trade, investment and growth strategies, while increasing their resilience to future shocks. I would also like to recognise Nick for his exceptional contribution leading the Credit Specialties business and thank him for his continued dedication and commitment to our clients and colleagues.”
Newly appointed global chair Angela Duca added: “With the world facing an increasingly interconnected and volatile geopolitical and macro-economic landscape, there is an ever-growing need for innovative solutions that mitigate these risks, enable growth, and foster future stability. I look forward to leading credit specialties’ team of over 850 colleagues globally, and working with our clients as they continue to grow and thrive.”
