MatthewsDaniel replaces chief executive after 30 years

MatthewsDaniel, a provider of loss adjusting and risk assessment services, has appointed David Cox as new chief executive officer (CEO), succeeding Kevin Jarman.

Jarman has led the growth and expansion of the business as CEO for the last 30 years. He will be retained as special advisor.

Cox was previously the chief operating officer of the company. Based in Singapore for seven years as the managing director for Asia-Pacific, he returned to London in 2016 as managing director for Europe in 2018. He joined MatthewsDaniel in 2006.

Matthieu de Tugny, president of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore, which acquired the firm in 2014, said: "David has been well prepared to assume this leadership responsibility and is the right person in what was already a challenging period for the industry – and even more so now in this time of COVID-19."

He added: "I am also pleased to inform that Kevin Jarman will stay with the business in the role of Special Advisor to both David and myself for MatthewsDaniel. Kevin’s focus will be to continue to give his advice, guidance, and support on general business matters, giving a strong focus on client relationships and business growth. I thank Kevin for three decades of leadership."
