Miller & DUAL build construction D&O offer as industry regulation rises

Specialist re/insurance broker  Miller will launch a new D&O product for an increasingly rule-bound UK construction sector, designed in exclusive cooperation with  Howden Group Holdings’ specialist underwriting arm  DUAL.

The new offer was designed to plug what Miller and DUAL believe are widening coverage gaps that have appeared in standard policies as UK construction regulation tightens. The product has zero deductibles and coverage for claims arising out of company insolvency, corporate manslaughter claims and environmental claims.

Miller’s head of financial institutions and D&O Scott Taylor commented: “As the UK construction sector continues to face increasing regulatory and legal pressures, I’m delighted to announce the launch of this new product which plugs the gaps left by the market’s more standard coverage. Led by our dedicated and growing D&O team, this offering further highlights Miller’s commitment to providing specialised, tailored insurance policies and working in partnership with like-minded underwriters to provide the best solution for our clients.”
