Munich Re senior underwriter takes on cyber leadership role at Aon

Global re/insurance broker  Aon has hired a Munich Re executive for the role of international head of cyber analytics for its Reinsurance Solutions unit based in London.

Rory Egan (pictured) joins Aon after more than five years with Munich Re, where he most recently served as senior underwriter, Cyber Center of Excellence in Germany, having previously worked in its London office as a senior cyber actuary.

Prior to joining Munich Re in 2016, Egan worked at AIG as insurance risk manager. He also held various actuarial roles at RACQ Insurance in Australia.

Commenting on his new job, Egan said: "I'm very grateful to my former colleagues at Munich Re for the time together and support over the last five years. Servus!

"Looking forward to supporting clients with analytical solutions to help facilitate profitable growth of their cyber portfolios, while reducing risk."
