Novae hires Beazley and Liberty execs
Lloyd’s insurer Novae has strengthened its cyber team with three appointments.
Jo Chadha will serve as deputy unit head, responsible for assisting Dan Trueman. She joins from Beazley, where she spent 13 years underwriting a portfolio of North American and international professional liability, technology and cyber risk.
Michael Shen will serve as head of cyber innovation, responsible for driving innovation and product development for the cyber portfolio. He previously served as senior underwriter on the strategic assets team at Liberty Specialty Markets.
Additionally, Sharif Gardner has been appointed as head of training within the team. He previously served as head of training for cyber at Protection Group International.
Based in London, the team will report to Trueman. They join Novae’s established cyber team in Jacqueline Spencer-Sim, James Creasy and Julia Whiting.
Rob Forster, chief underwriting officer at Novae Group, said: “Cyber is a rapidly growing class of business and one in which we have a market leading approach and strong track record. Jo, Michael and Sharif’s appointments are excellent additions to the team.”
