Peak6 adds new hire to co-lead tech-driven insurance operation

US-based investing and technology company Peak6 has appointed Andrew McGuire, formerly of National General Insurance, to co-lead its insurance operation with  Deb Franklin.

McGuire has 25 years of experience in risk management and reinsurance, most recently as an executive vice president at National General Insurance. Previously, he has held leadership positions at Firemans Fund Insurance Company, Zurich Insurance, Allstate and Safeco Insurance.

As managing director, McGuire will leverage his expertise building personal, small business and commercial lines insurance organisations to establish a new operation within Peak6.

He will report to Peak6 partner George Ruhana and focus on building and implementing new processes to capture growth opportunities within the insurance industry that incorporate technology.
