QBE builds out cyber leadership in line with growth moves

Re/insurer  QBE Europe has bolstered its cyber leadership with new appointments to support its growth aspirations in this sector.

Erica Kofie has been promoted to head of cyber proposition, QBE Europe. She was previously the portfolio manager for cyber, having joined QBE in 2017. In her new role, Kofie will be responsible for supporting the delivery of QBE’s cyber growth plans and developing customer-centric solutions across various geographies and segments.

David Warr has been appointed portfolio manager, cyber for QBE Europe. He has been acting portfolio manager before the permanent appointment and was previously cyber & TMT underwriting manager and has been with QBE since 2016.

Jamie Thompson, director of financial lines, QBE International, said: “Through 2022 we successfully delivered significant growth which reflects the depth and strength of our cyber team. We continue to see cyber as a key opportunity and the strengthening of our leadership team will help facilitate this growth aspiration and support customers with market leading propositions.”

He added: “These appointments are yet further testament to the great pipeline of talent we have within our business, having filled several senior leadership positions internally this year.”
