RiverStone International expands UK boards with new appointments

RiverStone International, a provider of legacy solutions in the Lloyd’s market, has expanded its UK board with new appointments.

Heather Thomas (pictured) and Jose Vazquez join as independent non-executive directors of its UK subsidiaries RiverStone Insurance (UK) and Riverstone Managing Agency.

Thomas has more than 20 years of executive board level experience gained in the financial services and insurance sectors. She is currently non-executive director of IQUW Syndicate Management and prior to this, she was non-executive director and chair of the risk management committee and member of the audit committee at CNA Insurance and Hardy Underwriting.

Vazquez also has more than two decades of experience in the insurance sector, including 10 years as chief risk officer at Direct Line Group. Prior to that, Vazquez has held a variety of roles in the insurance industry including at HSBC Group and Zurich Insurance Group. He is also non-executive director at Allianz Holdings.
