TigerRisk nabs Aon leader to expand in property/casualty market

Reinsurance broking and risk/capital management firm  TigerRisk Partners has strengthened its US property and casualty team with a senior partner hire from Aon.

Joe Springer (pictured) will be based in Boston. He was most recently managing director at Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.

He joined Aon in 2011 as a member of the Aon Securities’ Investment Banking team before becoming a treaty reinsurance broker the following year. Over the course of the next 10 years, Springer worked in the New York office for five years, Chicago for three years, and Boston for two years — serving a broad spectrum of regional and nationwide property and casualty insurance company clients, with a specific emphasis on professional and specialty casualty lines.

Steve Pfeiffer, partner at TigerRisk, said: “We are delighted to welcome Joe to the Tiger team. His deep expertise in the property casualty re/insurance space will be a valued asset to our clients.”

Springer added: “I admire TigerRisk’s creativity and passion for excellence. There is tremendous opportunity ahead of TigerRisk and I’m very excited to contribute to the firm’s continued dynamic growth.”
