TigerRisk names new head of insurtech origination and financial advisory

TigerRisk Partners has named a new head of insurtech origination and financial advisory in New Jersey.

The risk, capital and strategic advisor to the global re/insurance industry has hired Jack Snyder in the role, which will see him lead the ratings agency advisory team, while also focusing on the insurtech sector.

Snyder joins from Guy Carpenter, where he has spent the last 16 years serving as managing director and head of the strategic ratings advisory unit. Before that he was chief marketing officer at Munich American Reassurance Company.

Rod Fox, chief executive officer of TigerRisk, said: “No one knows the ratings agencies as well as Jack and his wealth of experience helping hundreds of companies over the years navigate the ratings process will be a tremendous help to us going forward.”

Nathan Schwartz, head of analytics at TigerRisk, added: “Jack’s experience working with insurance company start-ups has given him deep insight into what new insurance companies need to succeed. This makes him a natural choice to lead our Insurtech practice, which will focus on the unique needs of these companies as they bring exciting new technologies to the insurance industry.”
