WTW looks to rival Marsh for financial solutions leader in Europe

Global broker  WTW has strengthened its financial solutions team in Europe with the appointment of a senior leader, who joins from rival Marsh.

Cruz Gonzalez (pictured) has joined WTW as lenders solutions team leader in Europe, with immediate effect.

Based in Madrid and reporting to Andrew van den Born, managing director, financial solutions, Gonzalez will be responsible for WTW's growth strategy for financial institutions using credit & political risk insurance products in the region.

Gonzalez comes from Marsh where for the last 12 years she provided financial institutions with expertise in trade credit insurance, non-payment insurance, surety and unfunded risk participations.

Van den Born said: “Cruz’s appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment and investment in the region and to delivering innovative solutions to our clients. Her extensive knowledge and experience will add a tremendous value to our business offering and we look forward to her joining the team.”
