XL Catlin promotes former Zurich exec to US leadership role

Re/insurer XL Catlin has promoted Angie Strack to the position of senior vice president and underwriting manager for its global risk management division's US North Central region, including the greater Chicago-area and upper Midwest.

In her new role, Strack will be tasked to manage and develop the company's US risk management business, customising casualty programmes, including workers’ compensation, general liability, and commercial auto insurance coverages, for clients throughout the region.

Strack joined XL Catlin in 2011 with 17 years of underwriting and broker management experience, including a decade of casualty underwriting tenure with Zurich.

"Angie's promotion today affirms our deep talent pool and the professional growth opportunities we have here at XL Catlin," said Ken Riegler, president of XL Catlin global risk management.

"These opportunities continue to emerge thanks to the hard work and commitment from colleagues like Angie whose strong broker and clients’ relationships, collaborative nature and underwriting skill have helped us forge a strong market reputation for delivering casualty insurance programs explicitly designed for each client's unique needs."
