Insured losses from nat cats in 2024 ~50% higher than 10-year average: Munich Re

Natural catastrophe losses surged to $140 billion in 2024, “considerably higher” than inflation-adjusted averages, driven by US losses, Munich Re has revealed in its latest climate change report.
