Lloyd’s vehicle Helios draws first chief operating officer from Canopius

Lloyd’s investment vehicle Helios has appointed its first chief operating officer from Canopius. The executive has had experience across senior leadership roles leading sustainability, climate change and ESG initiatives.

Adhiraj Maitra has been appointed to the newly created role of COO at Helios.

Maitra joins Helios from Canopius where he is the group head of sustainability. Over his 17 year career, he has had experience across a breadth of technical and leadership roles including five years as a senior manager with Lloyd's capital and planning, and four years with Willis Towers Watson leading the capital and risk initiatives in the London Market and as global head of climate change and ESG.
