Munich Re enjoys upgrade, ‘well with peers’ on profit, better in diversification

Reinsurance giant Munich Re has secured a ratings upgrade thanks to improved profitability and diversification. S&P Global Ratings expects losses from Hurricane Beryl, the CrowdStrike outage, the Baltimore bridge collapse, and other events to likely fall within Munich Re’s large loss budget for the year.
