Aon bolsters cyber leadership to boost growth, innovation

Broker Aon has promoted Catherine Mulligan and Luke Foord-Kelcey within its reinsurance solutions business to strengthen its suite of cyber products for insurers.

As global head of cyber for Aon’s reinsurance solutions business, Mulligan will be responsible for setting strategy, driving growth, building the team and working closely with Aon’s cyber solutions group. Mulligan was previously head of US cyber for Aon’s reinsurance solutions and will report to executive sponsor Nick Frankland, UK CEO of Aon’s reinsurance solutions business.

In this new role, Foord-Kelcey will be tasked to build product development and create cyber capacity for re/insurers, in addition to his role as international head of cyber. Reporting to Mulligan, he will also maintain his international role and account responsibilities, while continuing to support the development of cyber expertise across the firm’s regional practice groups.

Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s reinsurance solutions business, said: “The cyber market is evolving at a rapid pace and now is the time for insurers to tap into this growth opportunity. The appointments of Catherine and Luke have enabled us to boost our structure to in turn further help our clients to navigate the challenges in an ever-changing line of business through innovative reinsurance, analytics and white labelling.”

Frankland added: “At the heart of these appointments are Catherine and Luke’s connections and close collaborations with our wider Cyber Solutions colleagues across Aon, who collectively support our clients across the value chain. This enables us to deliver a holistic portfolio from proactive security services, to incident response, to risk quantification and re/insurance broking.”
