Aon hires former RBS/HSBC exec into reinsurance advisory unit

Aon has plucked a recent entrepreneur with a corporate brokerage and capital market background to shore up its reinsurance sector capital advisory efforts.

Joanna Parsons joins  Aon as strategic growth leader of UK Capital Advisory after having founded and run her own strategic advisory for six years: Claypole Partners, which guided firms on strategic planning and process improvement.

Parsons brings experience as a corporate broker and equity analyst, having held senior roles at banks RBS, ABN Amro and HSBC, including contact with Lloyd’s of London for insights into the insurance sector.

Parsons will be tasked with adding depth to utilization of equity valuations in designing growth, capital and reinsurance strategies,  Aon said in its announcement.
