AXA appoints audit committee chairwoman

Re/insurer AXA has appointed Irene Dorner as chairwoman of the audit committee following the death of  Stefan Lippe.

Dorner has been director of the company and member of the audit committee since April 2016.

The board of directors, upon recommendation of its compensation & governance committee, also decided to propose to the AXA’s annual shareholders’ meeting to be held on June 30, 2020, to renew Dorner’s mandate as member of the board of directors.

"I would like to thank Irene Dorner, member of the Audit Committee for the last four years, who has agreed to take over Stefan Lippe’s position as Chairwoman of the Audit Committee, and to propose the renewal of her mandate as director at our next Shareholders’ Meeting. I am glad that the Board continues to benefit from her expertise and experience," said Denis Duverne, chairman of the board of directors of AXA.
