AXA XL appoints head of distribution, Iberia

AXA XL Insurance in Spain appointed a new head of distribution, Iberia. He will be responsible for developing and implementing AXA XL’s distribution and client management strategy in Spain and Portugal.

Eduardo Guinea, who has been promoted into the role, will work closely with other functions within AXA XL and the wider AXA Group to bring innovative solutions to clients and brokers in the Iberia region.

Commenting on the promotion, José Ramón Morales, Country Leader, Iberia at AXA XL, said: “I am delighted to see Eduardo take on this new role. His knowledge of our market and his track record are impressive, and I know he will help our team deliver best-in-class service to our clients and brokers. He will also play a key role in providing our partners with access to the broader capabilities offered by AXA.”

He added: “Eduardo’s promotion is a testament to the talent of our people, within our Client & Distribution team, and across AXA XL.”

Guinea has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance industry. Since joining AXA XL in 2016 as client distribution leader, Guinea played an instrumental role in designing AXA XL’s MGA distribution strategy and developing a number of new specialty insurance solutions, among which are accident & health, political risk, credit & bond and aviation. He became a member of AXA XL’s Iberia leadership team in 2019.
