Blue Capital delays share placement

Blue Capital Global Reinsurance Fund, the London Stock Exchange listed reinsurance fund managed by Blue Capital Management, has delayed its latest share placement, which was expected this week.

The announcement was made in an update posted on the London Stock Exchange. The company has not given a reason for the delay. The Blue Capital Global Reinsurance Fund remains at $180 million in size.

Earlier this year, Blue Capital said it had deployed 90 percent of the capital available for underwriting purposes. This would suggest that further capital raising plans will be announced in due course.

Blue Capital was formed in June 2013 and went public at the beginning of November last year.
