Delegates at this year’s EAIC conference in Taiwan are apparently undecided on whether cedants in the region will cut their reinsurance panels in the 2015 renewals, according to a poll conducted by PartnerRe from its booth at the event.
According to PartnerRe's market poll at the EAIC, some 50 percent of delegates think that insurers in Asia Pacific are likely to reduce the number of reinsurers on their panels at the upcoming renewals, while the other 50 percent said they thought there would be no reduction.
"It seems delegates say they want to keep relationships with as many reinsurers as possible," said a representative from PartnerRe.
