Mo Tooker, the global head of the property/casualty business of Gen Re, has resigned from the company, prompting a reshuffle.
His departure comes just two weeks after he was appointed as senior vice president of General Re Corporation, the group’s holding company.
Robert Jones and Carole Ferrero have been appointed as co-presidents of Gen Re. Jones will lead marketing and Ferrero will serve as global chief underwriter.
Additionally, Ken Lundgren has been promoted to vice chairman.
They will all report to Tad Montross, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Gen Re.
Martin Hacala, global chief claims manager for the company, will assume Jones’ former position as the president and CEO of General Star Management Company and Genesis Management & Insurance Services, the group's E&S and alternative risk subsidiaries.
Montross said: “I am confident Bob and Carole will lead our reinsurance business to new heights, delivering differentiated products and services as well as unparalleled underwriting expertise.”
