Generali appoints real estate CEO

Generali Real Estate, a real estate company formed in 2012 by Italian insurer Generali, has appointed Christian Delaire as CEO.

Delaire began his career at KPMG before joining the AXA Group in 1994, where he was global chief investment officer in the Real Estate department from 2007 to 2009. In 2009 he became general manager of the real estate company AEW Europe.

The group CIO of Generali, Nikhil Srinivasan, said: “The arrival of Christian Delaire confirms the attention of Generali Group to the real estate as an important asset class. Thanks to his wide and well-established experience in the field of asset management, along his significant financial background, Christian will contribute to the strengthening of Generali Real Estate leadership, which is today one of the most important players worldwide”.
