Hannover Re US makes three promotions

Hannover Re US has announced three promotions.

Cheryl Bowen is promoted to vice president (VP), shared services operations at Hannover Re US. She joined Hannover Re in 2010 as integration manager and most recently, served as assistant VP, shared services operations, focusing on the project management responsibilities related to enhancing and integrating finance, administration and actuarial systems within the US.

In her new role, Bowen will also be responsible for jointly developing and coordinating a global Life Systems Roadmap with Hannover Re Group life operations and managing other global initiatives impacting the US. She will continue to be based in the Orlando, Florida office.

Jodi McDonald is promoted to VP, large case underwriter. For the past five years, McDonald served as assistant VP, large case underwriter, where she handled and assessed the largest facultative cases sent for review by the firm’s client companies, supporting its client training via public speaking engagements on financial risk topics.

In her new role, McDonald has assumed management support over several staff, and will continue handling large face amount and jumbo risks and engage in monitoring the firm’s workflow environment to drive additional efficiencies for its clients. McDonald will continue to be based in the Denver, Colorado office.

Ronda Watson is promoted to VP, human resources. For the last four years, Watson has served as human resources manager, focusing on recruiting, the actuarial intern programme, development and implementation of the reward and recognition programmes.

Watson also served on the Actuarial Student Development Program Committee and was responsible for all HR-related matters for the Charlotte office.

In her new role, Watson will be responsible for all US employee relations functions, including talent attraction and retention, reward and recognition, compensation, benefits and leadership development. In addition, Watson will collaborate with the leadership team to design and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational success. Watson will continue to be based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office.
