HDI Global Specialty taps director of finance & operations from RSA; completes UK leadership team

HDI Global Specialty SE, a  joint venture of Hannover Re and HDI Global SE, has appointed Simon Hunt as director of finance and operations.

Hunt joins from RSA where he had spent eight years, most recently as finance director, commercial. He will be based at the firm’s London office and also joins HDI Global Specialty SE’s UK executive team.

HDI said the appointment completes the UK senior leadership team of the specialty lines insurer, following its launch in January this year.

“Since the beginning of the year we have been able to bring a wealth of expertise into the organisation; Simon adds to our now established strength in depth," said Richard Taylor, HDI Global Specialty SE UK managing director and a member of the UK executive board.

“With the UK leadership team now complete, we can focus on operational improvement and strengthening our competitive position in the market. It is essential we have the right talent to execute our strategy and deliver excellence to our clients and brokers.”
