Holborn hires BMS exec
Reinsurance broker Holborn has appointed Michael Joyce as a senior vice president in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
Joyce previously served as executive vice president of BMS Intermediaries, in Minneapolis. He began his reinsurance career with EW Blanch Company in 1981, followed by executive positions with Willis Re, Sedgwick Re, John B Collins Associates, and Cooper Gay.
Frank Harrison, president and chief executive officer, said: “Mike Joyce brings additional depth and diversity to Holborn’s practice, and offers our clients a wealth of experience to address some of their thorniest issues.
“He specialises in a broad array of traditional property and casualty treaty reinsurance placements, with a particular emphasis on workers’ compensation, commercial automobile, surety and Florida homeowners’ property business. In particular, the Florida market is a focus for several Holborn accounts, and Mike’s insights in that regard will magnify our firepower. I could not be more pleased to welcome him to our firm."
Joyce said: “I am very pleased to be a part of such a client-centered organisation. Holborn has a well-deserved reputation for client advocacy and customized analytics. I look forward to helping the team build upon its enviable list of client companies.”
