Hyperion launches new analytics business under JLT's David Flandro

Hyperion Insurance Group has launched new analytics business, encompassing all actuarial, catastrophe modelling, and thought leadership functions, with the appointment JLT's David Flandro.

Hyperion X Analytics (HX A) is a joint venture between the company's launched data and technology arm Hyperion X and RKH Reinsurance Brokers. The new business will service RKH’s treaty, facultative, and specialty clients in addition to the wholesale and MGA clients of Howden and DUAL.

As managing director, analytics, Flandro will spearhead the development of HX A. He joins Hyperion X from JLT Re, where he was global head of analytics and a member of the executive committee.

Prior to JLT, he co-founded and led Guy Carpenter’s global business intelligence team. He has worked at Benfield as a member of the industry analysis and research team and at Merrill Lynch where he was an equity analyst covering London market and European insurance.
