Lockton boosts global healthcare reinsurance practice with JLT duo

Lockton Re, the reinsurance broking arm of Lockton Group, has appointed Simon Mills and Fraser Howard to build its new international healthcare practice as part of the company's expansion plans in the reinsurance sector.

Mills previously worked at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), most recently as a partner in the firm’s UK and European healthcare business.

Howard has worked at Benfield before moving to JLT in 2013, where he was a partner within the London North American treaty team predominantly focusing on casualty business.

Based in London, both the executives will support collaboration across Lockton Re’s international network, focusing on both casualty and property lines of business.

Tim Gardner, CEO of Lockton Re Global, said: “We are delighted to have Simon and Fraser join us as we look to build London’s largest treaty book of US healthcare and healthcare business.

“They come at a time of rapid expansion for Lockton Re, both in the US and in London. We are attracting world-class talent as an independent company with substantial growth aspirations and investment appetite.”
