IAT Insurance poaches Chubb's property claims leader
IAT Insurance Group, a provider of specialty property/casualty and surety products, has hired a senior property claims leader from Chubb.
Joseph Smith has been appointed as senior vice president, property and inland marine claims.
Smith comes to IAT after 25 years with Chubb, most recently as SVP, field property claim leader, where he was responsible for handling personal and commercial claims.
Smith’s other roles at Chubb included managing its largest and most complex commercial and personal lines property claims. He also worked on niche markets such as builder’s risk, TPA, multinational, habitational, wineries, life sciences and high-net-worth homeowners.
“Joe has an outstanding reputation in our industry and will provide us with excellent leadership for our growing Property and Inland Marine claims teams,” said Krista Glenn, IAT’s chief claims officer. “We are looking forward to seeing what his extensive experience brings to IAT.”
