Insured nat cat losses soared 63% above 10-year average in 2021: Gallagher Re

Insured nat cat losses last year reached a whopping $116 billion - which is almost 63% higher than the ten-year average of $71 billion - despite the absence of a very significant single loss event, a new report by reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has revealed.
