JLT boosts facultative expertise with senior Starr hire

JLT Group has hired a senior executive from Starr to expand its facultative business in North America, based in JLT Fac’s New York office.

Joe Ameruoso joins as head of North America construction casualty, facultative. JLT's fac division is focused on providing property, construction and casualty facultative reinsurance.

Ameruoso was most recently at Starr Indemnity & Liability as assistant vice president, primary construction. Previously, he worked at Chartis.

“Joe is a great addition to our team and part of our continued global expansion plan for JLT FAC. He will enhance the expertise of the team and increase the breadth of our offerings to the market. Joe’s reputation and drive are a great fit for JLT Fac,” said Vanessa Macdonald-Smith, CEO of JLT Fac.
